I don't see much difference between version 1 and 2. I agree with what is said about version 1 - having the comet in the place of the O moving towards right.
Looks like you are going to have a good logo here.

the difference in the versions is the comet. one is less detailed and has less "tails" if you will.

I like the comet on version 1 better
