Cross Keys

Brief from client
real estate company logo
i have created this one for a real estate company.
I am not fond of the font and I realize the name is dictating the icon. I just think it is a bit trite. If you Google Cross Keys, there are a bunch of logos that feature crossed keys. I like the colors, but they are similar to Century 21. I would love to see some ideas that are a bit more subtle in relation to the keys. This looks like clip art and about 15 minutes in Illustrator. Sorry.
don't be sorry, i'm here to learn from mistakes, not to receive praises.
The customer requested simple "crossed keys" so that's what i gave them lol
i might wanna rethink it though.
(i didn't think of century 21, i just love gold and black :))
Here's an example of a more interesting key. But also spend more time with your typography. The font looks very dated, and you're also running into space issues with the subtext.
i realized the keys were too dull and too bold, i also changed the font for something non scripty and non italic ! it looks more modern and bolder.
And i've fixed the subtext spacing.

ok, but what do you mean by dated though ?
The use of italics, mostly. The font could stand to be less script-like as well.
allright so i have followed your advice !

Go ahead and post it as a new version for proper critique. You'll get better responses thst way.
In my opinion i would definitely change font. From then we start again
This is the weaker version of the 2
Version 2 is a keeper.
