Brief from client
This will be my own personal Logo.
*separated the i and k, and changed the font in this version.
"My name is Erik and i wanted to come up with a personal graphic designing logo. I'm not too sure on the name just yet but so far this is what I came up with. What do you guys think? Does the logo/names work?"
I think that subtext font is much stronger while still keeping that modern style. I think the fix with the "i" and "k" helped quite a bit as well. We'll see what everybody else says but I like it.
The idea of your name is cool, but the symbol seems a little too simple for my taste, you ahould try brighter color. The typography tends to be boring.
The idea is for me just a gimmick that don't really say anything relevant. ANd I do read "erk". I only read Erik after seeing your screen name. Maybe it's could be more readable if the i wasn't upside down, but then again, it won't say anything particular about you.
The color scheme isn't my thing at all. I find it a but dated and serious (not in a good way)
The kerning for the subtext is way off. The font choice isn't too bad, though.
Also, I really don't dig that weird frame, which makes the whole thing totally uneven.

Sorry but I'm really not feeling this.

Good luck!
