Brief from client
The client wanted to use the idea of a feather and ink to be used in their logo. The color was our choice.
Yay, no more octopuss!!! This looks better but, in my opinion, feather is too big.
You should give the whole composition some more thought and try to find the best balance between elements.
Gray and brown don't match. One is cold the other is warm. They neutralize each other. What if you replace the brown with navy blue or just a darker gray?
The feather presents some well executed details but looks incomplete. Look very clean without the watercolor effect.

I think you are almost there.. It's just the colors that aren't working for me.
I would also like to see the "tip" of the feather. When you write with a feather, you dip the tip in the ink..
I would experiment more with placement and proportion. try to get JUST right.
But, all in all... pretty close : ).
