'MIS' SERVICES
Brief from client
'MIS' Services - Stands for Maintenance Installation Security. The Company name is 'MIS (backwards) Services'.I just didn't want this critique coming up on Google search results - hence the difference between the title of critique and the logo itself.
This logo has been a nightmare. I was doing a cheap website for the guy and 'threw in a logo design' as he didn't have one at all and was just using crappy powerpoint/publisher rubbish for his marketing materials up until he met me, yet he's been seemingly unimpressed by the logo submissions so far. He hasn't seen this latest logo version as posted.
The problem that i've had really is that I couldn't tie in the 3 elements into one graphical solution Maintenance, security and installation, so went for the 3 symbol approach, especially considering that he didn't have a logo already and was happy to use crappy clipart from publisher or whatever vistaprint would offer for free.
Critiques, opinion and suggestions are greatly appreciated. I'll post below variations of what I've already shown the guy, as well as different symbols which i've considered using. Cheers!

Potential symbols...
cannot the symbols be placed on top? the whole thing looks too wide now.
Like this...?
This was also the first suggestion to pop into my mind. It takes the extra length off so the logo can display larger in more constrained display scenarios. For all you've been through with this I like the results so far.
Please try to remove the dotted line

Ok. Try to simplify (as it possible) images in icons. Try to avoid the use of thin red lines that you increase the contrast and expressive icons. The thickness of the lines and elements should be identical to each other.
I think I prefer it without the dotted lines
Dont you hate when your trying to do a favor, and then they cant make up their mind... I am actually happy with the top submission as it is, only thing im not fond of is the font choice on (S.I.M) that looks funny to me? side note shouldn't it be (S.I.M.)
im not enjoying this so much i could not really tell why tough...
But you have to ask your self.
Why should you use symbols (symbols are supposed to speak for themselves)
and next in the subtitle you explain them.
Its a bit overkill. (and the size of the subtitle is way to big!)
C'est premier cava...
I'd use a wrench for the maintenance pictogram.
I think this logo does the job, within the context of that type of client. I like it better with the plain strokes on each picto.
ok maybe in within the context of the brief it fits.
But i cant chance those thumps :9 sry...
