wonderful idea but simplfy, less colors and effects, I gave thumbs down for typo because of the font scale, also tweak the font a little or make some typeface of your own (is beautiful to make such things). The symbol has too many details but is very easy to simplify.....you are on a good direction with the composition, keep it up.

Adding to what Hueroth said, I think you can try to make the banner little bigger, even if it goes beyond the circle limit.
