Brief from client
Use black and gold. Clean and professional, yadda yadda cliche "I want a logo" terms. Avoid looking like Century 21.
I thought I might be getting closer but the client wanted to keep everything in one line, as one word, but he wanted to see the P's in a script font. So I banged my head on the desk for a bit and this fell out. It's not what he asked for but lets see what he says. In the mean time, what are your thoughts?

Meh. It has the same problems as the first version, plus some new ones. The capital Ps are a major turn off, especially since it's in fucking LOBSTER!!!! You should know better than that Jon! =) They're too detached from the rest of the word. I read "ate roperties", which sounds funny.
Also, I only notice it now, but the black and gold/ocre tends to be closer to Century 21 than if you used brighter colors.
I'd scrap this one and start again. Why don't you try some hand lettering?
Good luck and don't bang your head too hard =)
I totally own that and thanks for calling me on it. I was getting frustrated trying to find a way to get him a script capital letter that had a comparable weight to Chunk Five. The color thing kills me because those are the colors that were specifically requested and THEN he tells me to steer clear of Century 21. Fortunately, the fonts are all changing and I'll try to get some sort of cushion for my desk. Robster Craws!
ya need to go with Shawali on this one,,,
" don't bang your head too hard"
Nope, the world needs you!
Yep, it's a backwards step from the first version, but I guess you had to do it to appease the client.
If they want a script font, it might make sense to have Pate in script and properties in sans serif.
Yep but, I'll tell you what. This version got me to break him of the Name connected on one line. He likes the layout but wants to see different fonts. In a way, it was a win. I have some breathing room now. Nothing the client was requesting would work for the first draft.
Does the whole word have to be in capital letters??! there´s a lot of comments alredy so I will comment on the color of the windows...it looks weird to me that everything is gold or black but then you have white windows seems incosistent to me.
good luck with your client!
