Brief from client
Russia's organizing committee decided to go for secondary logo for the upcoming World Cup in 2018. They didn't like the logo made by a Portuguese design firm back in October 2014 after a majority of people show their negative reaction.
Added a line to a shoe.

I have the impression of seeing the adidas logo here.
The idea of a negative space is weak. Overall looks dated. Start over.
i agree with botw, overall it looks outdated. and if you use the fifa name...use at least their font.
It's a sharp idea, kicking the ball into the R, however I would think for a soccer logo it needs to be much more dynamic. The font you chose is anything but dynamic. You really need to fix the kerning in 20 1 8, that's one of the first things you should look for in the future. As others have said the Adidas is a no go and you need to use the official FIFA font for their name, a quick search will show you this is how it has always been done on past logos and they always have a lot of movement. Is the blue background part of the logo design, if it is do you intend for it to always be a little icon in a big blue box? If not try not to present it that way. Try to stay away from RGB colors you would have a hard time getting that vibrant a blue and red in print without using spot colors. Again I like the initial thought, this is where I vary from some of the other critiques, but I agree it just doesn't convey the excitement and movement of soccer in this form.
You are a fan of negative space, I like that.
I prefer the shoe with the line.
I would get rid of Adidas logo. Fix the kerning to make RUSSIA 2018 read easier.
Your tagline could be either shorter or same length of the above line, not slightly shorter.
As mentioned earlier, it is kind of outdated. Maybe a different font will help?
