Brief from client
A BBQ foodtruck in the Southeast.
The guy's old branding had this very dated Italian pig on it, plus a different name, so we are are revamping his business and giving him a look that better fits the local food scene.
I'm also attaching a photo of the old pig.

Old pig
Oh yes! Your logo looks smoked and barbecued. It works for me,
I love the font and colors of this very much except for "BBQ". It feels a bit out of place. Would it look better in the same font style as the other text?
I can't tell if BBQ is in-lined or if the distressing is so tiny it looks that way??? Have you considered not distressing the logo? It messes with the cool pig illustration some too. It's not that I don't like it- it's good work, I'm just thinking it would look just as good and interesting without the distressing.
And since it's a food truck- trying to create vinyl graphics for it (which is going to happen I'm sure) is kind of a major headache with distressed graphics. Just a thought =)
Otherwise- I like it- you totally modernized the pig!
So,
This is PART of this 50ft long food truck I am branding this for.
The distressing is something the client is huge on, and I think it works for the brand at hand here. We didn't want anything clean or upscale.
Yea- it works. Definitely as a print or a wrap- I work alot with vinyl graphics and it sucks when someone wants single color cut vinyls and I literally have to pick out every bit of the distress with an xacto knife!!! lol
One question tho...... Does Jenny work there?
=)=)=)=)
And no, nothing I've used is clipart. Minimal, yes, however I did make it myself.
