Brief from client
Need a flatten and current look software icon. The software is an industrial programming tool for system integrator.

I think what would help is a brief about the company, what they do, what their name is, and what they are all about.
I personally don't enjoy the light color choice, it doesn't leave the same impact that the red, black, and grey one did.
Attached is the original logo with name, but it needs to simplify to IGX only. The software is a an industrial programming tool for system integrator. But the word integrator cannot apply for trademark so the 't' was rotated to 'x'. The original 4 arrows meant to show integrating various elements to provide total solution.
Thanks for your comment on color, if you could ignore the color, which design do you prefer?
Definitely an improvement, but it also reminds me a lot of the X-Men's logo. I think in this case the name of the brand should be present too.

You are right, X-Men's logo and no-stop sign are what I'm trying to avoid.
Interesting. I would tip it 45° so it looks like the original X and so much like a cross or a +.
It looks similar to the Swiss biology logo.
