Brief from client
Need a flatten and current look software icon. The software is an industrial programming tool for system integrator.
This is the conservative approach. Is this better than previous version 4?

Ouch! Abort! Abort! This is a major step backward compared to version 4. This green and yellow a piercing my eyeballs with the fury of a thousand suns (did you leave the JPEG in CMYK?)
Nevertheless, the font is a bit too sci-fi for my taste but it's an improvement from the last one.
You had something interesting with version 4, I'd revert back to that.
