Brief from client
This logotype is designed for the Spark Design Group. They are a creative branding and custom invitation shop in the mid west.
The company has a mascot, a dog, so the logo is supposed to look kind of hairy but at the same time look like electricity is flowing through the word. I also added some bolts throughout the mark to play off of the word 'spark.'

Looks good, but more for a skateboarding brand rather than a design studio.
It is a good idea and a good looking logo, but, as long of what I know, those are bolts. I see no sparks. It does look good, but it's not very clear... ther is an "SC" element that should read "Sp".

i like the idea. it is memorable and not too complicated.Fix what silenciorn said and perhaps change the color.
i don't think that it looks like a skateboarding logo. a brand is what you make of it. the logo should only be nice and memorable. Apple is not a supermarket or a grocery store.
Can we see it in B&W? You are on to something as it is somewhat pleasing to the eye, but it is took hard to read. Think about usability.
i like it, but certain part are making it become illegible such as the 'k'. Revise the points where it becomes hard to read and you should have a complete logo.
Looks quite catching, but grey text and grey background kind of deplenish the standing out, could be modified a bit more and once done will look quite good.
