Wizer take #2

Brief from client

Hey guys.

So it so happens that my client found a direct competitor of his smart phone app who used the exact same font that I based my first logo on (after having spent hours on it, of course)

So I went back to the black board and decided to use that hand lettering technique I've been dabbling with lately.

So here it is. It's far from over yet, I still have a lot details to tweak, especially the e and the r. But if you guys notice anything, don't hesitate to point it to me, it's easy to get lost in your own work and to lack the hindsight.

As a reminder, the concept of the app is that you can get feedback from specialists on different products you'd like to buy. And you can also give pointers to someone on a item you are a specialist about.

I think this is a good start. Have you tried without the swoosh above? Or what about connecting that idea to the tail coming off the top of the W? The lower swoosh needs some smoothing out still but I know you're still early on anyway. Keep playing. I'd like to see this develop.

Hey Shawali,

like the connection between the W and the i...think to that without the swoosh maybe it´ll look better and more open.

The only think i have to chalk up is that the W looks a bit like the german football club Werder Bremen

Like you said i think you have a lot of tweaking to do. Try to make parts of the letters the same thickness so all the letters have some sort of unity to make them look like they are all part of the same font. I dont like the swooshes above and below and the colours and style of the font remind me too much of Coca Cola. Its a good start but still needs a lot of refining

Awesome concept, looks like a compromising start. And I have a little suggestion for you: definitely loose the above stroke, and try to connect the lower end of "r" with the stoke below, in the same way you've connected "W" and the "i" dot. Also, if it's an app logo, maybe you should make it square. Good luck!
