Brief from client
We are a real estate company who are looking for a clean simple logo which will give our customers a sense of professionalism and clarity. Our work place is an old building which looks similar to the henry ford square house so if you can incorporate that it any way that would be ideal.

Realty doesn't look centered and the roof of the house looks very awkward. Try centering your verbiage then shrinking the symbol down just a little and bringing it up from the type some. The house looks corny but I am a graphic designer for an architectural firm so I will be picky their.
thats great because I wasn't too sure what style of house i would use. What style of house would you say i look into before making another submission?
And as for the colours I chose them based on crimson.
American Colonial style for us is the most sought after home. Just do some google searches on it and kind of go from there.
Yeah, sorry- the house isn't working right now... looks a little too much like the Monopoly pieces. Maybe go with a more elegant home. Not the Crimson Shack.
This could be simplified by having a crimson colored house and doing away with the circle.
"Realty" is a hot mess : P-
The centering and kerning- yikes.
I would try a different font.. but that will depend on the new symbol- which you need : )
Almost there.. it will work.
I wanted the house within the circle to emphasise and draw focus to it more without going over the top. is this not needed though?
That's my opinion- easy enough to mock one up once you have a new house. One crimson, one surrounded by crimson.
Right now the house is technically white. That doesn't bother me, I just usually go for less.
There is a quote that I will paraphrase- "It isn't successful when there is nothing more to add- but, when there is nothing more to take away."
Try it out- my guess is it will work better without the circle. : )
There are 3 main problems in this logo:
1. house graphic is really, I mean REALLY overused and quite boring and uninventive
2. Your color is not crimson, it's more like bright red. Crimson is blood color.
3. Your tagline is too big and not properly aligned and throws everything off balance
