Expleo logo design
Brief from client
Expleo is small business that delivers all kinds of IT services. Expleo wants a "minimalistic" looking logo. Expleo's slogan is "embrace innovation".
The tagline is now in the same font as the company's name. Client likes to change his tagline to "building innovation" instead of "embrace innovation".
I always looked at the graphic as it was a double-wrench, but it was REALLY subtle... When the client said he wanted "building innovation" instead, it gave me the idea of adding two white circles to the top and bottom of the graphic, so it looks a bit more like a wrench.
I think it also gives the logo a bit more fun, while still being serious.
Any thoughts on this one guys? (oh yeah, client was more into second version instead of first version, still not perfect though)

I don't think this is really "bad" and hesitated to give thumbs down, but here's why.
Nothing about this logo says "IT" the change in the tagline creates a lean toward construction & probably does a disservice to your branding efforts. Wrenches in the logo look less like wrenches & more like "1s" - which is okay since wrenches would be too construction focused & 1s & 0s are more IT. However, it looks more like a bank logo (think First of America bank logo from late 80s /early 90s)
The colors are okay, but not great. And the font could be helped with some treatment (think FedEx forward arrow buried in the typeface or Amazon 'everything from A-Z' arrow in their logo)
Not in love with it & would recommend a new direction.
Ok, great feedback ckoens, thanks! I'm glad it looks like a logo... although for a bank. :p It's far from finished, you're right.
I'm kinda stuck with the whole name/logo thing. I don't know how to make it more look like a logo instead of a graphic with text.
The idea is good but the execution is lacking. I would work a bit more with the type so it looks less like you just typed it out on Microsoft Word. I would also keep playing the symbol, the idea is there but it is just lacking, it doesn't have the slick modern feel of technology. Good start, keep going!
