Open Tech Engine

Open Tech Engine is a free and open source 3D game engine.
The three words in the name means:
* Open means "free software" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_software), you can use it, browse and change code.
* Tech means technology.
* Engine means a framework, in this case, for making games (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_engine).
This one is completely different from the box design. It has a happy look.
The initials "OTE" makes the eyes and nose of the face, the "O" and "E" are formed by negative space. Then there's a curved stroke under the letters to create a smiling face.
I switched the font and chose colors that make it look more "soft".
The problem with this logo is that it don't bring the "freedom / open source" nor the "tech / engine" into it.

i'm so sorry but this looks like LG logo to me....
apart of that i don't thing the font work.
It was not intentional to look like the LG logo.
I think that the first design (open box) is the best by now and I submitted a new version of it with a new font.
I'll admit, its the first logo I thought of too. I don't think you intended to copy or emulate it; it's not even visually similar. It just seems inspired from it. I don't think there's anything to worry about here, other than It doesn't work as well as your other options.
It looks nothing like the LG logo, All logos are derived from some sort of inspiration but this logo isnt the same. Even if it looked closer it doesnt matter because alot of logos look alike if you search hard enough. All ideas come from a source
