The symbol is really cool, I love that bird inside the coffee bean. As it's been pointed in a previous comment, you should get rid of these strokes, go for something more flat design.

Also, you should experiment a bit more with colors. Don't just use brown shades because it's coffee.

I'm also not feeling the symbol/font interaction. Probably because the symbol is narrow in width while the word mark is rather large. Also, I don't really like the way the two Fs are ligatured. Try a narrower font and find a good balance of space and size.

Keep it up, you will eventually end up with a really cool logo!

I would also try to separate visually the coffee bean from the bird. They don't necessarily need to be attached to each other, and the bird's attributes could be much lighter. Are you sure the wing points in the right direction?

i would definitely drop the stroke on the symbol and i think you are good on that, however i do not like the font you have chosen, and it looks way too big compared to the symbol.

Well, I disagree somewhat- I have read the comments and it seems we all disagree! Here are my 2 cents:
The "ff" in coffee seem like the one on the right is taller than the one on the left which is odd.
I actually prefer the beak of the bird outside the shape because to me it makes the coffee bean shape more obvious. If you lost the stroke but left the negative space between the bird and the bean it might look more modern but keep your coffee bean idea intact? maybe? Worth a try anyway.
As for the type, have you tried placing the bird to the left of the name instead of just on top- if anything doing so may help you find the right ratio of size between symbol and text.
I will say I am pretty fond of your symbol idea, and I agree that when you get everything in place just right it will be a great logo. Good luck friend!
