Brief from client 

Create a logo for an arts and media, mainly film related. Avoid the usual directors chair, clip board images. Wanted to suggest reborn as the school is being renovated into this specialism.

This is the pencil sketch. Should be same post as the vector file (sorry).

Props to you for starting with a sketch rather than jumping straight to Illustrator..

very nice sketch! but now after seeing the full logo you've done which i dont like very much i think you should keep it way more simple like the sketch you have here and get rid of all the metal gradients
