feedback about a chemical company logo concept

Brief from client

To give the company a fresh, more relevant and recognizable logo with and without the text.

Exploring some variations based on feedback from version 3.

Here I use a combination of Museo 500 and 900 and flip the bulb to face upward to the right. Rather than post several versions of this I'll add them below in a reply.

Would love your opinions versus Version 3. Thank you all.

As a logo for energy company I dig it even tho not a fan of the gradient in the inner symbol (blue). Not sure if light bulb speaks chemical to most people.

Overall its a good logo.

softened the shape a bit here to bring in more of the "bulb".

This is my favorite version. I think you're pretty much done at this point.

Just brush up your kerning, and you're done, I think!

This seems much better than all the previous ones, the symbol is well settled.

I like the design, but the liquid sort of reminds me of an ice cream scoop.

Thank you for the feedback. Visually it could be interpreted that way, but I'm not concerned about it. It's a bit of a stretch even if the graphic is viewed alone and out of context.
