Logo for Gordons Heating & Air Conditioning
This is the design that I came up with for a client. I think it looks old, but I'm not quite sure how to modernize it. Any ideas would be helpful.

Play with the typography... pick a san serif for a more "modern look" ...
depends on the brand too... if they're older they may like it :)
Yeah, this screams 80s. Some reworking is in order here, I think.
I think honestly my biggest problem with it is the red/blue gradient bars.
I agree with Killswitch. This logo really dated. If you want to make it trendier, look at how famous logos evolved along the years. It generally goes to more simplicity, getting rid of the superfluous, only 1 or two colors if any, etc.
