This one is looking a lot better. I think it looks "good enough", but suggestions on how it can be better would be appreciated! Thanks for all of the fast responses :)

I think this is a bit too simplistic. And it's always best to avoid such gradients in your logos.
Maybe it's time to take a few steps back and rethink the whole thing. Get inspirations from the same business related logos (www.logopond.com www.dribbble.com www.pinterest.com) Then sketch down a few dozens ideas, whatever pops by your mind until you find something good. Usually, writing words related to the business can be helpful and help the ideas flow in.
