No, my friend. Don't spend a second trying to find out how to force a shadow, gradient or any other noisy treatment to your logo. None of that helps.
Concentrate in the main idea: "ochoa guerrero" and think of a way to arrange your elements.
I like the "8a" idea but not the execution. It just looks to messy.
I have worked in this logo a several days, I have a lot of critiques, because I haven´t the way. 8A is my last name, in spanish you write ochoa, but is the union of 8 and A, some designer recomended to me, that i should work in this form. "soluciones gráficas" (graphics solutions), is the reason of my bussines. I make web pages, illustrations, brochures, cards, etc.

Yep. Sometimes it takes some weeks to come up with the right logo, specially when it's your own. You want it to be perfect, it's your image after all.
You are brave and persistent and that's good. You just need to study more about image/logo design. Keep working.
En ese caso tal vez necesitabas explicar un poco el significado de 8A, porque nuestros colegas no entienden español, aparte, si coincido con quienes te dicen que deberías dejar los efectos y trabajar exclusivamente con colores solidos, una vez lo consigas, alli agregale tantos efectos como te de la gana, no trates de encandilar o confundir a nadie con eso. PD. que tal si probas algo con OXOA en lugar de 8A? Fuerza y a buscar el logo perfecto! do not surrender!

colega la idea esta perfecta, los colores en su tono correcto ahora una sugerencia trata de buscar una tipografia mas comercial para el area de guerrero, en cuanto a lo otro esta excelente
