Sorry man, just STOP, what you think if the next version are 4 Ideas scanned about what you did on paper, This is not working.
Sorry for my bad english.
Good Luck.
This is for our reall small business
I'm not playing around here and I'm not stopping until I've perfected this,
I came to this website to ask for constructive feedback
if you think there's a specific problem on which part of the logo just say, I am open
I'm pretty sure you drew this parrot directly on the computer, and with the mouse, not even a graphic tablet.
Anyway, this is one the worst versions you did so far. Too bad, because there are elements from your precedent versions that were going somewhere. The main font in version 1, 6, 7 and the parrot head in version 5.
But I think you mainly have a problem of strategy, here. You have absolutely no clue where you are going with this. Try to fix that problem and than start SKETCHING! =)
Good luck!
Don't tell me I didn't sketch it in paper
I've sketched it by hand then scanned before tracing it in computer
This is the final sketch, I had a lot more earlier versions of the parrot sketch in my sketch pad
Well, you did sketch before, but what I saw didn't look like it.
Anyway, I get that you're confused with all the feedback you get. Mainly because, I think, you're lost in the first place. Why don't you try this : the font of version 7 and the parrot head of version 5. Try to find a way to make these two elements work together. Maybe keep it black & white for the moment, you'll take care of the colours later.
Good luck.
Thank you
I do admit I'm not pretty good in tracing a sketch into a computer
Ok I'll go back to the drawing board and use the version 7 font and parrot head in 5
Thanks, I really appreciate all the help
what about this?
Same font in v7 and a simplified parrot head in v5
Wow -- a lot of feedback on this so far.
I just want to remind you of something I said to one of your earlier versions of this logo. THINK OF YOUR AUDIENCE! No disrespect to Shawali -- but the typeface of version 7 is not the right choice for this audience. (It's not the right choice for any audience.)
I am going to give the same advice that I gave the first time: Look at some youth brands and some social media brands. That's the right direction for this logo. It's an online business, so it should include the simplicity and playfulness of social media feel, and it's for 14-25 yo age group, so give it a bit of action. And -- given the name -- it needs some color -- just not every color!
If you are going to stick with the parrot -- make it simple. You don't need the entire parrot to say "parrot". Try just the head, just the eye, just the tail. Something that suggests. They will get it. Or -- why not a simple t-shirt outline? It is a T-Shirt printing company, after all.
Why not? in my opinion the pigment font is ok for the audience, playful but not too informal
It's a matter of personal preference, really. I do like the font, it has character. Now how it connects with the target depends on how you use it.
In my opinion akeyes is on the right way.....dont loose ur target group, i am 24 and i dont want a parrot on my shirt, only if its illustratet in a fresher style ( sorry cant explain it better in english )
Shawali told ya to try black and white...and i think its the right direction. Why dont u choose 1 of the parrots you draw on the paper? the flying one which is looking like a swallow got a lot of good options
Maybe try it this way.....
.
right ive taken in what everyone else has said and i think they are mostly correct! i however do not like any of the fonts you have used expect for this version you did: http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/critique/pigment-print-logo
i think you can use the font from that with a symbol of the parrot as this seems like something your keen on but as Akeyes said, dont simply put a whole parrot in, think of a way to suggest a parrot like just using the head, a feather, the beak or the bright colours etc. You need to remember what your target audience is at all times. I think people in the age range your looking for would like something cool, trendy and a bit hipster! all the version you have done so far look out of date, and the ones with the parrots look as though they are ages at children 7-14 years. Put yourself in your target audiences shoes, what would make you want to buy a t-shirt from this company?!?
If your really struggling i dont mind doing a quick mock-up for you to suggest to you the sort of thing i think would work
I may also add that creating a logo for your own company is always a hard thing to do!
Isn't that the truth. It took me over a year of tweaking and scrapping ideas before I finally got my band logo right.
how about this parrot head maybe?
I had a bit of spare time so quickly put this together in about 30mins for you to get you thinking outside the box! when i saw the company name Pigment Print i straight away thought of vibrant colour, hence all the colour, you then said the company was about printing tshirts so i added a tshirt in there but only as a subtle hint - the "M" im not saying this is how you MUST do your logo but its how i would go about portraying your company, hope it helps! :)
That's pretty cool. Completely different idea and I dig it.
haha cheers Jon! :)
Love it Matt! You should name a price and see if they buy it from you! ;)
wow thanks for this
no problem.. £100 and its yours lol ;)
