Brief from client
Version 1 is the logo of my current employer. Created back in 1990. The company is a small commercial printing company. We would love to get some feed back on it.
Versions 2 - 4 are failed attempts at a redesign.

It looks like you do movie reels and not printing. Those are suppose to be printing press rollers right? But if you look at it with the black circle with the punches knocked out it resembles a reel.
I would approach this as if you know nothing about the back end of printing. Your audience (or most of) probably don't.
Don't let the design rely too heavily on color.
No need to be too literal it says "PRINT" in the name.
The symbol really overwhelms the name here.
So how many logos did your employer have for "Print One" back in the 90's? I counted 3.
