Quality Pet Products

Brief from client

We want a logo with a subtle vintage feel to it that pays homage to the nature and the animals.

Any better?

Better, but the "stains" in the dog silouette still look too random. Why don't you arrange them in a way they form the eyes, the ears, etc ? I can't help but see a dog with a pretty messed up face =) Also, I see a giraffe =)

Also, it's a small details, but I would have the sun reflections or whatever you call them on each side of the yellow circle would probably look better if they were horizontal rather than slightly pointing downward.

And now that I'm looking at it more closely, there are some slight inconsistency in you main font. The long curve in the Y could use some more tweaking and it's not really consistent with the way the tail of the E look like (same goes with the second N) See how the base of the C and the E gets thinner before it gets bigger at its extremity?

Still, this a logo off to awesomeness.

Haha, thanks! Now I see the giraffe too! :)

The "stains" are made to make the mountain more natural/ to create more depth.

You mean the outliers (is that good english?), the clouds, at each side of the sun. You have a really good set of eyes! Half of them are already horizontal while the other half are slightly pointing down. I will adjust this to make them all horizontal.

Also, thanks for the typo tips!

i am enthusiast about how this will go, is a very nice touch , but still a lot to do , as shawali mentioned above. Usually i look more closely at the logo before reading any description, the dog (in this case) i took it for a mountain.....have no idea yet if is a mountain or a dog ... the little errors in the main font are not fragrant so you can go away with them , but is better to follow shawali advice.

Well, you're both right. The symbol is created to look like a sunrise over a mountain. But the mountain is designed to also hides the head of a dog.
My inspiration came from the logo of Carrefour. (notice the hidden letter C in the diamond-shape)
