Brief from client 

The brief was to give a more modern look to their current logo, which was looking a bit old and amateurish. The club is having a new website designed for them and so the logo was a necessary part of the upgrade.

Or PMS 2955C blue?

darker shade of red so that it doesn't hurt the eyes and you have a "Great" from me.

I've just realised that all of the colours I have been uploading are not representative of the CMYK colours I have in Illustrator. I have figured that I need to export as JPG with RGB colour space, so it looks more like what I see on my screen.

Yes, colours are the weakness. I am struggling with keeping it in line with the club colours (blue & yellow - some red)), but also making it look modern. Any suggestions would be welcome.
