Brief from client
Hi guys. Here's another project that has been on hold for a few months.
Wizer is web app that helps you choose the right product that you really need, thanks to the help of experts, ie other subscribers who actually know their stuff about that particular product. Basically, it's pole based social shopping app, if you will.
The idea behind the name is that thanks to the app, you'll get "wiser" when it comes to choose the right product.

Hmm, I still don't think it looks enough like an owl. Instead, I truthfully see Majora's mask, actually.
I definitely think it needs a few more lines to help distinguish the beak and the top of the head that separates the "brows" from the rest of the face.
Hahahaha yes! My first thoughts as well :D
I think this looks better with the eyes but im still not sold on the symbol.
I actually really like the little owl symbol you have below the text, have you tried that symbol?
I also am not sure about the layout.. as in having the symbol then a line then the text.. sometimes this works well but in this case for some reason im not sure about it, it kinda makes the symbol and text look like 2 different objects rather than the whole thing being a logo.
What about putting your owl symbol above the "I" as if its dotting the "I" - just a thought!
I remember some of your previous versions and i think i preferred them to this.
Keep going! :)
The little owl symbol I didn't make. It comes from The Noun Project.
About the composition, nothing's carved into stone yet but I went this way because it'll more than probably end up in the header of the website, where there's no too much space for a stacked logo. But there will be different iterations in the end. And yes I tried to dot the i with the symbol, but it kinda throws the whole thing off balance.
ah right thats fair enough, all valid points
The first thing I thought of when I saw this was the Mononoke mask from the Ghibli film “Princess Mononoke.” Play with the proportions of everything; play with the ears; play with the eyes; play with the beak (maybe separating it with a gap from the rest). Mess with it until it starts to look like an owl. Also considering playing with slightly more separation between the pie slice and the owl, the way a pie graph sometimes has slices pulled out.
C'mon Shawali, you can do better! (y)
Shawali I don't know if you ever heard or saw any of these but this was the second thing that came to mind:
Haha, yeah I know this game =) Nom nom nom.
This is way nicer:
