Why the square background?

I do not like the gradients, but you could use the lighter blue with that red. I think that color scheme will do better for you than the gradients. I still the the proportions are way off, the symbol being way to big for your text. The type inside the square is not working either in my opinion. The kerning needs to be worked on as well. Look at the F & the I in grafica, they are touching. Little things like that can make a huge difference in your design,
