I, personally, really like where this is going. I think the parrot interact really well with the main font.
The subtext doesn't work, though. The font is too prominent as opposed to the the main one. You need to find a more complementing font. Check this site out, it will help you with this: http://www.typography.com/ask-hfj/
Keep it up!
It's actually shanuea's idea, I'd like to give credit for that
What about this? Simple Serif font, so i wont overpower the pigment font?
The font is better but keep it simple. You're just complicating things with the two words overlapping.
placed the "print" in the middle
oh and I've thought of adding a parrot tail instead instead of the parrot
much simpler,
does it work better or no?
its getting better but im still not sure on the parrot idea... when i see the parrot i think of a zoo of a theme park i dont think of a t-shirt printing place! i no some companies get away with using an animal as their symbol but considering theres nothing in the name or type of company it is except It starting with the same letter as Parrot i dont think it works. The only thing that i can think of that it links to is that Parrots are colourful and so is your company name, but thats not a solid and justified enough reason to use the parrot. I think ive put in all i can now so im gunna leave it up to you with what ever you decide!
P.S i havent given u thumbs up or down because altho i dont like it im impressed with the amount of effort and desire to get it right that your showing!
Actually since the name is pigment, I've been thinking of things represent "Color" or colorful things
I've thought of Sunrise/set, Fruit Salad, Fire works, rainbow, flowers, butterflies. peacock, and parrot
I've thought of picking peacock and parrot
I think peacock is widely used in a logo, I've chosen the parrot
but thanks for taking time to help by the ways!
Yes yaw, we´re getting closer :D i enjoy the parrot, maybe some fine tuning and ur nearly finished....maybe u can connect the dot of the i with the parrots tale.....i think that non serife font works pretty well, but u should flush it right ;-)
Still not feeling the main font choice. I think you need to do more research on what's appealing to the 14-25 age range. You can google "best free fonts of 2013" and you may find something more modern.
My issue with the "Pigment" font is that it reminds me of those cheesey "Arabic" fonts-- fonts that mimic the look or Arabic writing. On top of that, the P especially has awkward line weights and is unevenly balanced. It looks like it could topple over at any moment.
I like the parrot symbol, and the current font for "Pigment". The parrot may be a little large, try it about 30% smaller and see how that looks. I agree the subcopy font choice should be reconsidered.
Greatly improved over previous versions... keep it up, you're almost there!
What if you make the "P" in Pigment the parrot? Look at it this way: The P is already in the shape of a parrot head, or at least in that font it looks like a parrot to me.
Maybe make an extra feather in the back so that its two and make the mid-point of the "P" a little pointer. Just a thought.
I like the "print" as all caps and plain font.
