Brief from client
Creative agency that focuses on growth, linking, and evolving.
New revision. I added a leaf in there and took out the soil (Sorry mr.flower). He's gonna have to starve for the sake of design! I took off the knobs on the pot as to not give that toilet look and added a simple shadow as well. It's also more glossy/gummy.
I agree with Monito on the gloss. If the logo is supposed to represent linking why are the different segments of the flower floating in space? Just a thought, it's a cute logo, just dial the effects back and make sure this is the direction you want to go with it.
Thanks! Okay will definitely punch back on the glossy-ness of it. For the linking, this sounds stupid, but for some reason I was thinking about how in those retro games for the SEGA Genesis (Sonic 2 mainly) how if you look closely you can see that the flowers in the background are basically groups of balls floating in space. Also some of the enemies have this "style". That was kind of my inspiration for the links but now that you mention it it won't make much sense lol
I just didn't want to make it look too cluttered I guess with multiple balls linked together or something. Will definitely take that into account though for the next revision. Perhaps I can link the segments through string or something...?
There's no shame in using video games as reference, one of the first things that came to mind when I saw the logo was actually vectorman for the sega genesis. I wasn't really saying the floating balls were a negative, I was mostly just playing the devils advocate on that one. I really don't think it's a bad logo.
See what a few slight adjustments can do for ya? A quarter turn, remove this, add that and voila!!! getting there! I do have to tell you though, I'm not a fan of the blends.... gonna cause you problems if you ever print this thing also... 3 colour? Either dial it back to 2, or go up to full colour. (It's a savings in printing cost!)
Totally, you sir are a genius! Big thanks for that "rotation solution." Oh and the removal of poop of course XD
I agree, and your totally spot on in terms of printing costs! I was told before that this thing would be INCREDIBLY expensive in print in terms of color. I will make a flat color version and we'll see how this looks i suppose! I can try two color but Im not sure on how the pot might look blue or green? Hmmm........
I like the idea, but theres too much information on the image. Perhaps you could take off some of the gloss, the shadow or the stroke or rethink about the colors.
As for concept and development this is great. As a logo for a something aimed at children 12 and under...great! For a regular adult business I would say no.
Yeah this logo falls into a strange demographic. I see what you mean by it looking playful which is what I wanted - something cute i suppose. But I agree, as a adult business this may get laughed at XD

I like it alot!
i think there is too much gloss on the flower maybe take off one of them?
Thank you! Will definitely punch back on the gloss.

I agree, I will rethink on how to tone the detail down a bit.
For me it looks very nice, but it becomes some kind of tall with the pot, leaves, and so on. Compact it a bit, and you're there!
Thanks! I've made a revision without the pot altogether. Hopefully it is more compact this time!
