I had some time to kill this afternoon, so I started sketching some lettering thingy and wound up with this =)
I'm obviously going for an old timey hand lettering style, with maybe a little side of Tim Burton.
If you thought I was done with this, think again =)
This is a great exercise, nevertheless.
In this one, I wanted to tone down the Tim Burton aspect as well as globally simplify it and make it more coherent.

its definitely getting there now! all of it is a load more readable. Just bolden up the "e" a tiny bit more as it looks a little bit thinner than the other letters
I think you're striking a balance between flair and readability now. My beef with this version, though, is "Charlie" is starting to get a bit crowded looking where "Putz" is more aired out.
I like this one the best, nice work.
