The dohicky on the top makes your pheonix look like a partridge. I can't see that font without thinking of the Mary Tyler Moore Show. I'd say start over. I you are representing yourself as a designer maybe don't focus so much on the fantasy elements and aim for a clean simple logo that re-enforces your design esthetic.

I must admit, I'm having a hard time seeing a phoenix in this logo.

That being said, you're having the wrong approach to create your own personal logo. Forget about symbolizing phoenixes and eternity and all these big words. No one really cares about that. You are graphic designer, not a NBA team.

Look out for pro designer logos or signature and see what they do. Get inspired and stop designing your logos on your computer. Do it on a paper.

Sounds like I'm pulling a CAMOTAP here, but I saw a silhouette of a man in a suit with eyes where his shoulders should be.

Needless to say, the identity of the symbol has missed its mark.

What I saw at first was a hanger with a plastic wrap around a garment with a pair of printed eyes, sliced apple with " d " "p " being apple seeds. I , also, see an angry penguin with a mo hawk.

try only to work with the dp in the logo.
