Props to you to go a totally different way and aim for a hand made signature style.

The main problem here is that it's barely readable. A signature style logo should still be readable and memorable. It's not what you sign your checks with =)

Try something less squashed, let those characters sing the song of their people!

this is pretty much unreadable, since the idea of a logo is the instant asimilation of the concept this point was missed. Altough i like the fact that it has style and personality it does not compensate for functionality. I would got to pen and paper for a proper tweak and back to the screen.
