Brief from client
a company for marketing and advertising, need a logo exciting, fresh, young that address to youth and new generation, main colors: blue and green and any other vivid color combination with light cloud background.
this logo is pretty empty, it has not guts no soul no nothing, try making a logo starting from a symbol not from the typography. The font look distorted not condensed...maybe is only my perception tough...
Your brief mentions that you wanted the logo to be "exciting, fresh and young" and I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this logo is none of those things.
The font is maybe your main problem here. It's a condensed sans serif- and it's really, really boring. The symbol might be fine for using in a different application, but with this font holding it back it suffers. I would seriously consider trying another font. Or trying several fonts.
And maybe for the colors- if you want something 'exciting and fresh' - try something other than straight Cyan and the standard green. Mess around with some darker blues and some more exciting/bolder greens- see what you come up with.
Overall, this looks to be about the exact opposite of what you're aiming for- keep trying!!
The symbol is ok, but to me the star on top looks a bit political - I would take it out completely. Re the typeface: I I agree with the above comments - too boring. You will not address the youth with this font... Maybe a good idea would be to make this a small round logo to distribute as a sticker, etc. for youth to collect.
thank you for your comment, yes i noticed the boring after all said so :)
well, i think i have to start from scratch but how do i know the correct font? i tried several but not as expected...
thank you again
I do like the logo. The green-blue version looks good. However, that green-blue is a bit overused color combination for logos. I also have to second what the others said about the font. You need to find a more interesting type face, this one is not suitable for a logo, especially not for an advertising agency that needs to show creativity.
