SMC Designs

Brief from client
I am a freelance graphic designer & want to re-brand myself (original logo that I used for 3 years is very girly). I liked the idea of CMYK, but know that it's really overused. Because 2 of my initials are C & M I thought I may be able to get away with it. What do you think?

Brand identity elements
Never use so different font sizes in logo design. I think its nearly good logo but too complicated
I love the colours now, they really look nice together.
I quite like almost everything! What I don't like that big mess of stuff before the ' { '. I can't read it and it is distracting.
Otherwise, I think you have your winners.
THANKS! The writing wasn't quite meant to be read, but I tried an alternative... I uploaded an invoice so you could see how I plan to use that element.

I really like your date presentation method! :)
Okay, that makes a lot more sense. :)
The thing that throws me of is the focus is way more on "Designs" than "smc" while it should be the other way around. And that weird D, which totally looks like a L, isn't helping at all.
Also, since you went for the hand written signature kinda thing, I would avoid just initials. Again, the main thing people need to get from this is your name. Designs? Of course it is, they wouldn't be looking at it if they were looking for a plumber =)
That being said, I really like the ink stain version. It just needs your full name. I would even get rid of "designs". You already have the subtext, it's kinda redundant.
Have fun!
It's so much less fun without the fancy albeit totally impractical 'd'!! It did look L-ish... =( My name is really long & that's precisely why I'm using initials. Also it could be interior designs, fashion designs, floral designs....
