logo for a industrial designer

Brief from client
as a 1st year industrial design student, I thought I'd make a logo for myself. My knowledge of illustrator is gained through self-learning and internet tutorials, please leave hints&tips to make a better logo
This is a bit better, i suggest if you want to make triangles in your font, shrink the triangles down and put a bit more in. I also suggest to take a real font and manipulate it and then put the triangles in.
This looks anything but a logo now. Go back to sketching come up with at least 10 idea's on how you could make a logo with your initials. When you have that sketch out atleast 2 versions of each idea and then work it out and post it back here. You're not going anywhere with this now.
The colors are okay and I like the play on transparency through them, however with such great letters as "m" and "w" there are so many more interesting combinations and ways you can approach the fusion of a logo with industrial design. Maybe try and think of columns or fun interesting ways to interlock and combine with "m" and "w."
